Apologies if this has been posted, I did a search and didn't find anything.

A guy found a roll of undeveloped film in Brooklyn and is looking for the owner. I figured a photo site that includes a lot of film users might be a good place to post this, it would be incredible if the owner was found.

Reunite NYC negatives with their photographer!
Reunite NYC negatives with their photographer!
This video's been going around youtube and facebook and wanted to share here, because I believe I saw the photographer shooting with a Leica and possibly he/she's part of the forums.
Worth a shot anyway. Here's the video with all info:

And the photographs are quite excellent. Looks like the guy has a chrome rangefinder in the very last photograph of the video, shooting what might be a Canon LTM lens. That'd be my guess.

Funny, the guy in the last frame is obscuring the VF window with his left hand. Not the camera's owner, I'll bet.

I don't think so- I think he's shooting with an Olympus Pen SLR...

Anyone Lose Some Film in NY's Prospect Park?
Anyone here visiting New York's Prospect Park or lose film in Prospect Park? They look like the photos we would take.

I saw this and thought he/she could have had a RF. Also thought this maybe a place to find this person. That would be cool..just to find the person!
I also thought the guy that found it should narrate for "This American Life" on NPR. That is the first thing that came to mind when I heard his voice!

Why does everything have to 'go viral' these days? The photos are decent but nothing extraordinary. I'm sure the photographer's not losing much sleep over the loss of the roll.

It's not this guys fault it went viral which by the way is a trend I don't care for as well but, how do you know the guy wouldn't like to find them? Especially now with all this attention. They are his memories and to get that many "decent" shots on a roll ain't bad if it were me! It's not a bad story compared to all the other trivial viral crap. Don't you think? Why does everything have to 'go viral' these days? The photos are decent but nothing extraordinary. I'm sure the photographer's not losing much sleep over the loss of the roll.

This is an Olympus Pen FT. Half frame, while the shots are full frame. This is not the photographer, unless they swapped cameras.
They were at least three guys, and maybe the two women posing were in their party as well, they look very relaxed in the picture.
EDIT: The Rucksack at 1:52 is from a brand called Eastpak, and sells a lot in The Netherlands. A lot of students in my classes have one, the design and placing of the label is pretty specific. Rucksack might sell across the whole planet, or maybe just Europe?
Eastpak is a company from the USA (Hence the name "Eastpack U.S.A." and their backpacks are VERY popular throughout many parts of the world.

Yeah but it just seems like this guy wants to jump on the Vivian Maier bandwagon. But just because something was found doesn't mean it's worth showing the world.

that applies to a lot of other things that are being shown to the world, sadly. not really have an opinion on this here, but it's still the internet!

I agree... it's a cool story, and some of the images are nice. However, I have to agree that it seems to me the guy who found the roll is trying the "Vivian Maier" thing ...

Huh, "This video is not available in your country"? Somebody is proceeding incredibly fast at a commercial exploitation of that story... I'm prepared to bet that the whole thing is scripted and staged.
