Anyone Successfully Use a 21mm f3.4 Super-Angulon with an R4M?

Exactly as the question states. Has anyone Successfully Use a 21mm f3.4 Super-Angulon with an R4M? I found the page (http://www.cameraquest.com/voigtr2ar3a.htm) that says that the lens isn't recommended for the R2M R3M but I'm wondering if this is the same for the R4M? It also doesn't say explicitly that those lenses wont work, just that they may not.
I'm interested to know is anyone has actually put this lens on the camera, specifically the 21 SA on an R4M, and either confirmed that it doesn't work or used it successfully. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!

Due primarily to the possibility of hitting the Bessa outer shutter, these lenses are NOT recommended:

Leica Hologon 15mm F8
Leica Super Angulon 21mm F3.4
Leica Super Angulon 21mm F4
Leica Elmarit 28mm F2.8 (first model)
Leica Dual range Summicron 50mm F2 -- won't mount properly due to internal body restrictions



The R4 bodies will have the same issues. Attempting to mount these lenses may damage the outer shutter blades.

I have tried to use the 21/3.4 SA on a R4A, and it simply would not click in place. You need a Leica body for this lens, Zeiss Ikon will not work either. It might even make sense to get a dedicated meterless body, as light measurement will not work correctly anyway.

Thanks mfogiel. That's what I was looking for. I have an M4 that I use it with but I was hoping the 21 mm finder in the r4M would decrease the bulk compared to the M4 with finder. I didn't think about the meter issue. Oh well. Thanks for the information.

Typically the lens will not click into place because the rear element of the lens is pushing the outer shutter blades or is hitting the light baffles. The Zeiss Ikon has the same shutter as the Bessa "A" bodies and will also be damaged by attempting to mount any of the lenses specifically listed on the CameraQuest web site.
