Anyone try a scottevest??

I've always liked the idea of a photo-vest but felt everything I've tried has fallen well short of my expectations (mostly b/c they make me look like a oversized action hero). Then i ran across this

Anyone try one? Specifically i'am thinking of a leica M and maybe a extra lens plus some rolls of film?

Not really. Even without anything in them most "photo-vests" are big and bulky and very conspicuous. I would have bought this like a shot if it was any cheaper but for a $100 would like to do my research before committing.

Well i bit the bullet and ordered one. Got it yesterday. Looks well made and could easily fit all my RF gear plus a fair bit of film. I'll be road testing it first week of April and will let everyone know how it turns out.

Back from taking a break at the Washington cherry blossom festival. I used the scottevest extensively during the trip and have to say it was fantastic. Very comfortable and does not even remotely look like a camera vest (i saw quite a few of those ugly domke's that make you look like a fly fisherman). Here's what i carried (and there certainly was room for much more)

Leica M6 with 15mm voigtlander finder attached
Voigtlander 15mm 4.5
Canon 50mm 1.8
voigtlander 35mm 2.5
singhray polarizer and cokin p adapters for my nikon
wallet
keys
phone
iPod
always 3-4 rolls of film

Their was room for a water bottle or small table tripod if needed. Not carrying a camera ag or looking like a total camera nut was very refreshing. I'll try to post pics this weekend. Overall i'am sold on this thing for my RF gear.

How much did the pockets bulge when loaded? I'm just curious as to whether the vest manages to keep its slim/fitted shape.
