anyone use this film ?
I like the look of results I've seen, especially for portraits
anyone have good results ? any suggested developers ?
 
Hey Marc,

I love the stuff ( other than the price )! I soup it Rodinal, but if you do that, the EI ends up being lower - I usually rate it at EI 60. I can't post any shots with it now, as my computer is acting wonky and doesn't want to turn on ( on the wife's evil pc right now... ).

I love this film!
Resolution is truly magic, almost like MF, even scanned with a "lowly" Epson V700. It dries flat as a pancake!!
I rate Rollei Retro 80S at Iso 100 and develop in Ilford DDX for 6,5 minutes in normal/flat light or 6 minutes in high contrast light.
Here are some examples of this combo with 35mm film (all M6/50 summicron).

You have to watch out with this film and some developers you will get a real S- log D curve which is not good for the highlights. Further the film is a bit slower then the indication of E.I. 80. But it's really fine grained like an iso 25 film. BTW it's made by (Agfa) Gevaert in Belgium.
