Stephen, I am using one. No-name from China [Box reads: BOR Adapter Ring Body Mount M42--NEX]; comes with a NEX rear cap. Quality is adequate -- actually one of the things that I like about the Pentax mount is that there is so little to screw up about them (no pun intended) -- but the lens mounts rotated about 10-12 degrees to the left of center so that that the distance scale is not directly under your eyes when you glance down. Lens focuses at infinity though, and the minimum focus distance seem right. One of the nice things about Pentax's M42 designs (other than the all metal construction, good image quality etc.) is that little rocker switch to stop down to taking aperture This is helpful when using an EVF.

EDIT: mis-read your OP entirely, Stephen. Strike my answer, if you like.

Hi Stephen, I was interested at one time, but read on another forum someone trying one of these and a) m4/3 lens were vignetting, and b) no infinity focus, as the flange distance is actually 2mm longer for m4/3 than the NEX.
The flange to sensor distance is so short on the NEX that even a proper C-mount adapter has to allow for the lens to go .5mm inside the mount (for infinity focus).

Apart from the aperture control issue - how well do they even cover the larger format? Also - it's focus by wire - you couldn't even manually focus. The new Oly 14-42 Mk. II is a dandy lens - if it covered APS - well, that would be impressive. I guess the CV 25/.95 would work nicely - again - IF it covered the format.

I note that you are looking for a 4/3 adapter to Sony. When I was buying an M42 (Pentax) to 4/3 adapter for my Panasonic L1 I think I ended up buying 3 before I found one that was of sufficient quality to give good results. The usual issue was that the cheapest ones were often made of diecast and did not appear to conform to the correct tolerances. This did not mean I had to go to the most expensive end of the spectrum. I eventually found a good mid priced adpater that did the trick. There are usually a range of makers and prices for these things. I just mention this as it may be worth bearing in mind when looking for an adapter that works on a Sony. Which on reflection I suppose is redundant as I guess this is why you are asking.
