I have a DP2M I plan on taking with me during a week long cycling trip. There will be minimal chance for recharging batteries and I wanted to conserve battery power as much as possible. Do any of you use OVF for your Sigma's? And which would you use for the DP2M? I was hoping that by turning off the screen, presetting my functions, I could get the most out of each battery.
I have a CV 28 I've used for my Ricoh.
Thanks
Chris

I use a 28 for the DP1/GR, but you'd probably have to use a 40mm and frame tightly. There are CV 40mm, but they're spendy. Boriska on eBay hacks usable inexpensive VF in 40-45mm. If you search for those lengths on eBay, you'll see some. He ships from Israel, so leave time for that before your trip.
Or simply buy a sack o' batteries for the trip. You could buy 4 for $40/ free shipping from HK. Boriska's cheapest VF with shipping is probably $55-70. Ricoh GR batteries work too, if you have any.

I use a Rollei brightline 40 ovf on the dp2. Works well. U can c the focus confirm green led using your peripheral vision.

Thanks for the advice. Would a CV 35 vf work? I think I saw a used one at a local shop.

I use a 40mm CV viewfinder for my DP2M, and it works fine. Kinda pricey, but it works for me.

Yeah.. But u need to mask it a bit for the 40 fov or just remember the difference in 35 vs 40 fov.

I use them on both my DP3M and DP2M.
A Voitlander 50mm on the DP2M and a Leitz 9cm on the DP3M.

I just remembered the Taron/Yashica viewfinders with wide/tight framelines for the Electro G series. The main frame is 45mm. In fact, I kept one to use with the dp2M, but haven't had it out in a while. They're not expensive.
If you want to try mine for your trip: assuming your trip is after September 7-8, I plan to be in Seattle on 9/7 for a cancer conference with my partner (unless her white cell count is too low). Contact me at rohilong@gmail.com if this might work for you.
