I'm planning on buying a collapsible M lens, principally the Elmar-M 50/2.8 collapsible, as it's so compact. They're a bit pricey s/h, a few people asking $500, so I checked out hksupplies and then accphoto.com, and the latter have one in black for $475. Altho I'd be quite happy with a s/h lens, this is a good price, I can pay via paypal and their postage is very reasonable. Has anyone else here had dealings with them? BTW, if I do get stung for duty and VAT (I'm in the UK), I can at least claim the VAT back.

Jorge has purchased from Acc Photo. I don't know of anyone else who has gotten a return email from them.

Please do be informed that the prices on the sites of Hk and Acc are outdated.
Hk has gone up a bit, but as far as I know, Acc had gone up quite a lot. The Hk price includes P&P.
How do you get VAT back in UK? You're not buying private?

I've sent ACC Photo 2 emails within the last week and got no replies so far. Is he still in business? I'd like to get the Elmar-M 50/2.8 from him but all the contact info I could get from his website is the email address. Anyone out there know another way to contact him? Help please.

No reply. In the meantime, I hope I've struck a deal for a s/h one, for a little less than accphoto's website quote. It's not a bargain, but it's fair, and I do have some PayPal money burning a hole in my pocket!
Sorry Leica won't get the money, but this will still be the newest piece of photo gear I've ever owned apart from my little Minolta Dimage.
FUnnily enough, I did email Accphoto about a Sekonic 208 meter a few months ago and they did reply - I used a 'contact buyer' email from one of their eBay listings.
Oh, and as for VAT, I have an accountant and he has to be of use for something!
