Anyone used nikkor-t 105/4 before?

Came across this lens recently and thought it's a pretty weird lens...
Anyone tried this in F or S mount before? What do you think?

I didn't get a chance to shoot it but I doubt it would be sharper than any 105/2.5 (2.8)s or micro-nikkor.

The 105/4 is so difficult to find it's practically not there.

I clicked on the link but got nothing as it appeared to be a broken link.

Thanks Ellen. I did see this http://www.cameraquest.com/1054.htm before posting. I read there are about 5000 made for both F and S mount together.
I am posting mainly for the performance not so much about it's collecting value, plus it's not my lens... I saw it in a friend's dry cabinet.

I have one in Rf mount. I do use it occasionally and will use it in the coming weeks as part of the "Nikon Rf Month" project. It is a bit of an oddity - 3 element lens, slow and odd shape. Hood keeps popping off too (typical Nikkor lens hood). It is not a super hot performer at f4 and 5.6 - by no means bad, but it works best stopped down to f8/f11. Remarkably light though - particularly compared with the 105f2.8.
As for production, seems that they made about 700 in Rf mount and another 6-700 in F-mount. Difficult to find and the hood is scarce - as it kept falling off!
If you check our Flickr and use the tag "Nikkor 105mm f4.0" there are some shots off and with the lens.

I saw on Jonmanjiro's Flickr that he is using one for his trip through the Nordic countries and Estonia/Lithuania/Poland/ etc - this is ongoing as we speak so he will most likely have a lot of samples when he gets back home.

Chris, its a great little lens! My testing showed that my sample front focuses slightly (will have to get it adjusted) but is sharp even at f4 at the point of focus.

Jarski used it on his M8 with my Amedeo adapter and got great results with the lens stopped down to f8-11.

Its a very light lens and the bokeh is also very nice. The only odd thing is the long thin shape looks rather strange so attracts many stares when the lens is on the camera. Looks a little bit phallic ... 😱

It looks extremely similar to my Leitz 3-element Elmar 90/4 of 1964 design in M/LTM mounts, even down to the scalloped focus ring:

A Nikkor copy in F mount is available right now from KEH for $300. Might be annoying for SLR shooters given the preset aperture. 🙂

Just put up 10-11 shots done with the Nikkor 105f4 in Rf mount on our Flickr. Jsut tag "F928" or Nikkor 105mm f4.0 and it should get you there. Not a bad lens, but at f4 it is a bit soft and flarey - once you hit f8 it is really very good.
