Hi,
I´ve just downloaded Imagemagick. My intention is to begin to use it for simpler task like adding a frame to all pictures in a folder. Maybe downsizing and converting to jpeg for web use. Eventually my idea is to try to create scripts that makes a good first try to make decent pictures from my scanned negatives. Something that uses curves and unsharp mask to the right amount based on how my negatives usually look.
Anyone else using Imagemagick for these or other tasks? Do you have any tricks to share?

I use it in a web gallery app to unsharp mask photos as derivative sizes are created for each image uploaded automagically.

Yup. I have a script that takes a raw vuescan color neg scan and inverts it properly and gets things in the right neighborhood. It also preps the IR channel for use as a dust busting mask.

Oh hey, would you mind posting a copy of that?

Like Brian, I use it in a photo gallery app for resizing and formatting uploads. I did not realize it could be used as a standalone and will be following this thread.

I have used Imagemagick and gifscile for years as part of automated scripts on my server. However I have never used them for regular editing, since graphical editors are much easier to use.
