I have been using Lightroom beta for a couple of weeks now and I really like it. Even though it's an early beta - it's easy to use (I have Photoshop but it's too comprensive for my brain!) and can handle Epson RD-1 files - unlike Aperture. I am interested in what other forum members think . . .

I don't have Tiger yet. May give it a try when I get it, though.

On the face of it Lightroom looks like the answer for me [want to use digital like i used film-hence using Rd-1s!] bu sa a PC guy can't even beta test yet.
Certinly everything I've read looks great...............

I use both Lightroom and Aperture, with Aperture used primarily for cataloguing. I really like Lightroom, despite the quirks that come from being Beta software. The fact that it handles ERF files is the icing on the cake.
The one feature I'm waiting eagerly for in Lightroom is the File Browse option. As it stands, one has to know the file name to open it. I'm sure this will be a very refined package when it comes out of testing.
