Anyone Want to Host 350MB of R-D1 lens test samples?

I'm in a quandry as to how best to present the pictures samples I've done for this latest lens review. I'll likely include various crops in the review but I would ideally like to have the full-sized samples available to other photographers because I think they'll be useful for some time to come as people choose lenses and decide for themselves how each lens "draws" it's image on the R-D1.

My ideal would be to have two sets of level 10 JPEGs posted:

1) Files Converted to B&W in PhotoRAW with default settings
2) Files Converted to color in PhotoRAW with WB set by eyedropper

I've made samples with all lenses at their maximum apertures, at F/2.8 and at F/8. All pictures are of the same scene (my daughter seated in the beautiful restaurant of the Fullerton Inn) and were done on a tripod at ISO 400. I think that they can be very useful resources for side by side comparisons.

The lenses tested are:

Canon 35/1.5
Canon 35/2.0
Canon 50/1.2
Canon 50/1.4
Canon 50/1.8

CV 35/1.2
CV 40/1.4
CV 50/1.5

Leica 35/1.4 Asph
Leica 50/1.0 Noctilux
Leica 50/1.4 Asph
Leica 50/2.0 current

Zeiss 35/2.0

I think this could be a real treasure chest of info. for serious photographers but it requires a home with lots of space and lots of bandwidth. There's no way I can have my editor host them on Luminous-Landscape or on the server space I have free right now. If Jorge can host them here or someone else can handle them, let me know and I'll start uploading.

Best,

Sean

Hi Folks,

Great. I've had three offers for hosting which is wonderful. Let me touch base with Jorge and see if he'd prefer to have it on RFF and if not maybe we'll split it across two different sites. David Peart e-mailed me with an offer to host this morning and we've got a couple other options as well (as above). What a cool community.

More after I talk with Jorge.

Cheers,

Sean

And I just checked with one of my E-Mail accounts, it includes up to 300 albums with a total up to 2000Mb :)

So if you need one more to host the pics, you're welcome to e-mail me as well.

Hi All,

Thanks for the offers. Jorge is going to host them on RFF. I've uploaded the files so they're ready for Jorge to download and I'll be e-mailing him after this post.

Cheers,

Sean

OK, Jorge has the info. he needs to download these and they should be available for RFF members even before the article is published.

I uploaded Set 1 for Jorge and it includes:

1) Files Converted to B&W in PhotoRAW with default settings

Canon 35/1.5
Canon 35/2.0
Canon 50/1.2
Canon 50/1.4
Canon 50/1.8

CV 35/1.2
CV 40/1.4
CV 50/1.5

Leica 35/1.4 Asph
Leica 50/2.0 current

Zeiss 35/2.0

Perhaps they'll be available later today.

Cheers,

Sean

I should add that we all should thank jlw, Ed Schwartzreic and David Kieltyka for loaning me the older Canon lenses tested for the review.

I'd second that. I look forward to see the results.

Jorge says he may be able to upload these tonight so lens shoppers can check out the samples if desired.

Cheers,

Sean
