Just noticed B&H has lowered the price of the R-D1 by $200. Anyone reckon its a sign of... well, anything digital RF-wise coming up soon?

(we all know something will come up at some point in time in the future but a $200 drop on a limited production cam with no competition doesn't happen for no good reason)

Thoughts?

recently got mine from SH Photo (eBay) for 2399 EUR (600 EUR pricedrop), but I doubt there is a successor or another DRF around the corner

Interesting. I emailed them this week asking if they had any deals on it and the said no, $3k. :bang:

So I picked up a used one on eBay, with three-1 gig cards and an extra battery, for $2400.

Should anyone be interested, this is one F*&%*g sweet camera! I LOVE it. The quality is superb. The weight and heft are as close to an M as I have ever seen and the images are exceptional.
