So, utterly sick of constant Aperture crashes and its new found inability to use SFX Pro 2 as a plug in (since updating to El captaine or whatever it's called) I've taken a trial of Lightroom...
Any tips for a Lightroom virgin, fresh from Aperture?
It seems very complicated.

Note that the latter has developed an overly "mobile" centric orientation, but it is easy to skip the mobile only tips. Adobe themselves also push the mobile functions to the forefront as they only exist in the CC version of Lr and that's the version that they want to sell.

Just hang in there and remember the happy times.Any tips for a Lightroom virgin, fresh from Aperture?
I made the switch pretty soon after Apple abandoned Aperture. Lightroom, of course, is more capable, but I do miss the usability of Aperture. Due to how you otherwise need to jump between the library and develop modes in Lightroom, you need to pay more attention to the way you organize collections/albums/projects in Lightroom. It may be that your current workflow already fits this, though.
