From looking at some of the average RFF'ers work they would better spend some of that money learning how to use that equipment.
X-ray put it a bit blunt in another thread (and I now pulled it very much out of context) but it got me thinking. We do have some rather good/great/excellent photographers here on RFF and I for one would be very willing to walk in their shadow for a few days (or more, over an extended period) to learn from them.
Now, most of you guys/gals live in the US of A, which is a bit of distance away from my neck of the woods, so I'm directing myself to European (Dutch (where I live), Belgian or German or French (a bit further but I can manage getting there for a weekend or so)) photogs...
Who of you would be interested in letting me join up with you for a day or two), or wouldn't mind my tagging along over a day at a time over longer period, so I can learn from you? I know I'm a good photog
I'm in Amsterdam, Holland, and as usual I'm limited in my free time (work work work, wife and kid, the mortgage, my Law studies, etc.). Yes, even to me that seems like I'm not very much committed but I am. I want to go as far as I can stretch myself right now within the constraints that are imposed on me. I can't drop the responsibilities I have towards others but I can find ways to shift responsibilities, free up time (for travel, practice, being taught, etc), and generally make it as easy on you to fit me in your schedule.
So, who will pick up the gauntlet?
