Is anyone using this sensor cleaner with the M8/8.2/9 (or Eos 5D)?
Any feedback of the experience or other products?

The Arctic Butterfly is all I ever use. A fast spin and a brush takes care of 99% of the dust.
I'm not a fan of wet cleaning sensors. I use the swabs and liquid maybe once every 6 months or so. From past experience, too many wet cleanings does more harm than good. Better to use the butterfly once every three battery changes or so. The M8 is not a dust magnet though it did throw a little oil when it was new.
Hope this helps.

Film, the next evolution.
I use the butterfly on the M8. Very impressive, though just make sure you only touch the sensor and not the surrounding metal, or you'll smear grease all over the sensor.
You will know if you've done this 'cos it looks like scratches. It isn't (thank goodness).

I recommend the artic butterfly. Was a bit nervous the first time I used it but worked really well and no more spots in the sky.

I've used the Copperhill method since ..um... 2003 was it.. when I owned a Canon 10D. I did wet cleaning up to and including my 5D period (about halfway through last year).
When I got the M8, since I didn't want anything to potentially screw up the sensor, I bought the Arctic Butterfly.
It's now all I use.
I also bought it because, well, Visible Dust was a Canadian Company
Cheers,
Dave

Dave,
Did you buy yours locally, or via ebay or some other mail order?
I think I need to get one.

I brought the Artic Butterfly, but haven't use it yet. I guess kinda nervous as it will be my first time cleaning the sensor. Any tips or things to avoid. Thanks

Not a big fan. It is very easy to contaminate the brush with grease and you end up smearing the sensor. Then it requires wet cleaning.. I found wet to be quicker and easier. Some sensor swabs and Eclipse or some premoistened sensor swabs (the latter can be transported on airplanes; liquid Eclipse cannot).
My Arctic Butterfly sits idle now. Just my opinion.

Both of the Leica dealers near me stock Eclipse products rather than Visible Dust products (includes the Arctic Butterfly) due to too many camera service issues resulting from the latter. Each recommends using the Giotto rocket blower (or equivalent) first to remove loose particles, then Eclipse swabs.
