I own a Summaron 35/2.8 with goggles and my answer is "no".
The Leica M3 have the frameline for 50-90-135 mm. The Summaron and Summicron 35 with goggles (for Leica M3) engages the 50 mm frameline and the goggles serve to enlarge the 50 mm frameline to 35 mm frameline with the Leica M3 and other all Leicas M (except CL).
If you remove the goggles, you need an external finder for 35 mm, because the lens engages the 50 mm frameline in the VF of the M2.
Ciao.

I asked YOuxin about this and he said there is no problem to do that. However, this may devalue your lens since you disassembled the original parts even if you later on put them back together.
