Hi I shoot with Nikon, Pentax M-42, Olympus OM and Minolta MC Rokkor.

I hate to admit I shoot a lot with SLR's as well.

Nikon film bodies are my slr pick but canon DSLR bodies are my digital preference. I just picked up a used canon film body so I could use my lenses from my digital system with film but really like nikons film equipment best. I only have a few lenses now for my old F, F2 and nikkormat FTN.
 
My first SLR was a Pentax, but then I switched to Nikon (F3) and have been with Nikon since. I have owned F4's and a D1x, and currently own an F5 and a D2x. I also owned two Nikon based Kodak SLRn's, which I sometimes wish I still had.

I also own an M7 and an R-D1, and now eight M lenses; I've pre-ordered an M8.

In the last couple of years, I've sold an RZ and an Ebony.

I now shoot almost nothing but digital, except when I need to project a slide.

My son has a 1DsII, and I like the results, but I'm so used to Nikon ergonomics that I'm not at all inclined to change.

Currently, my favorite SLR is a Nikon F2, but I also use an F,FT,FTN & FE. I have quite a few lenses and still haven't cycled through all of them. My Wife is using a Canon EOS 750QD with a newly purchased 28-105mm 3.5-4.5 lens that takes great pic. She also likes the AE-1. I don't even want to get into the digital cameras....Nikon, Canon, Nikon, yada yada. Too many cameras and not enough time.
 
Pentax! Back in the mid-60's I worked part-time in a camera shop so I had ample opportunity to take gear out and use it for a while. Ultimately for myself I chose a new Pentax H3 for its "friendly" handling, compact size, along with its sense of quality. Later, after that job I did some trading-in and had a Spotmatic, then added an H3v, traded that for a second Spotmatic, got into 6x7, etc...

Now I still have a Spotmatic Motor Drive, an ES, an ESII, with recent retrospective models K, H3, and SV. There's also a K2, K2 DMD, MX, ME Super, LX, 6x7, 67II, and Auto 110. I have a couple Olympus Pen FT and an FV, and kinda peripherally an OM-G because it happened to fit a lens I wanted. I respect the main OM system but never got into that. Most active these days are the K2's, LX, and 67II... just got a 31mm and waiting for a 77mm lens to arrive.
 
First SLR was a Mamiya Sekor 1000DLT 42M mount. on to Pentax ME supers. now if it is film I use Spotmaitics or a Pentax S1a mostly long telephoto.

If digital then it is Canon Rebel XT

but mostly I shoot with my Bessa....I will be attending the Passkeys Foundation “Ethics in America” awards dinner. My hospital is one of the award winners and I have been invited to the feed, so I will be taking my Bessa R2 and the 28/1.9 and might even break out a roll of color film for the occasion

I think in the auto and digital world, Canon is really the king. Now I miss the function-packed EOS3 a lot. Spot metering, quiet AF,intermediate speed....In comparison, Nikon F3HP can only be regarded as a primitive camera. The EF70-200mm f2.8 is a superb lens which I think is better than my Nikkor AI 105 f2.5. My Nikkor AI 105 f2.5 looks well-used and a little bit rough. And the images it produces are not that good as alleged. Possibly mine is an exemption. I have had an AI 180mm f2.8 for a while. It's quite good but no match to Leica glass and possibly EF70-200 neither. The Nikkor lens that truly blows me away is the AIS 28mm f2.8. Previously, I had an AI version which was super sharp. So I upgraded to the AIS one which I would say is a gem in Nikkor family. Wide-open, it's already very very sharp and also I can focus close up to 20mm. Because of this lens, I parted with EF16-35 f2.8 which is excellent except wide-open at f2.8. I do need a usable f2.8 at an affordable price. Now, 80 percent of my photos taken with SLR are through the combination of F3 and AIS 28mm f2.8. I am thinking replacing the AI 105 mm f2.5 but hesitant among the choices of AIS version, 105mm f2.8 macro, 105mm f1.8, 135mm f2, or 85mm f1.4.
 
Started out with a Minolta SRT-101 ans a SRT-100 with Vivitar lenses. Moved on to medium format, then back to 35mm with a Pentax Spotmatic. Bought a Nikon F2 and Nikkormat FTn in 1974 with a half dozen or so Nikkor lenses. Picked up an FE2 in the 80's. A Canon EOS IX was aquired a few years ago, followed by a 10D and an Elan 7E and several lenses which I use the most except for my RF gear. I still have the F2, FE2 and most of the Nikkor lenses. I do regret selling the Pentax kit.
 
My first serious camera was an OM10. A while ago I switched allegiance to Pentax, for their dSLR, and discovered they make some fine prime lenses too. Almost all the OM gear is sold, except for the original OM10 I'll keep (not worth enough $$ to sell!).
 
Neither: Still Pentax Super ME, but only for long Tele work. A Sony digital has taken over all my Macro work.

My first SLR was a Yashica but then I was won over to the Leica M3 and bought two used cameras even though I was a strugling college student in Chicago. I later sold both M3s on the Ginza in Tokyo to a camera dealer who couldn't believe the dumb GI (me) who stumbled into his shop wanting to sell all his "old German gear" so he could buy a new Miranda. The latter lasted about two years if I remember correctly. That marked the beginning of my Dark Ages period...

What? Are you serious?? Did the camera dealer offer you a bottle of sake at least? Maybe he offered you one right before the sale 😀

I have Nikons and Olympus. I don't have Canon but I have used them on occasions. I also used Leicas SRL. I don't really mind about the names nor whether they are SLR, TRL, RF, viewcameras or whatever. I only mind whether I like the model and whether I can afford it...

I still drag my old Canon A2e out for a spin regularly. While technology has passed it by in some ways, there is something to be said for knowing what a camera's performance is going to be every time you use it. It's not sexy, but it is reliable!
