Are You NOT Using Coded Lenses On Your M8, M8.2 ?

I think you have all saved me from buying an M8.2. I have none of these problems with my D300. Maybe I will look into that Panasonic G1 for a small digital with large sensor.

Nope, perhaps I didn't explain clearly enough. When I mount ANY LTM lens to this particular adapter, the lens is nearly 60 degrees counter-clockwise when looking at the front of the camera. This puts the focus tab at infinity over near the frameline selector lever and at close focus the tab will be at the top of the camera.
I have mostly LTM lenses which I've used on M bodies for years now. Yes, there are individual quirks here and there which may put a lens a FEW degrees off, but not 60.
This is just bad QC and the customer service hasn't been much better.

Well, the John Milich adapters are flawless, even if a bit more expensive. There is a lot of dross sold on e-bay, not just LTM adapters....

If you wanted to use non-AI Nikkors on that D300 you'd need to find somebody to convert them by measuring and grinding the rear flanges, because Nikon no longer sells the AI conversion parts, there are no 3rd-party manufacturers making them, and Nikon no longer makes the metering ring with a flip-up tab since the F4. Ironically, I use a number of non-AI Nikkors on my Canon DSLR's with nothing more than an adapter ring. Using old (or new) screwmount lenses on an M8 is simple, nonwithstanding the existance of some poorly-made adapters.

I have both coded and non-coded lenses. The only difference that I see is in the metadata which tells me which lens I have used. Nothing else.
