Dave, I have a strong kinesthetic component to my spirit and I consider myself a romantic, even though alone. I also love film photography, though I hope to add digital to that soon.
Have a wonderful and rewarding trip!

Hi, Murray,
Someone recently told me that I could never be lonely when I was alone because they were always there either in person or in spirit, and just a phone call away. I bet you know yourself very well, and that is rare these days, and others see it in you too. Besides, you have RFF, just a few clicks away online and we are here!
The definition of being romantic is quite varied but I like this one:
From Merriam-Webster:
"Romantic : a writer, musician, or artist whose work stresses emotion and imagination : a writer, musician, or artist of Romanticism..."
It is what I do and aspire to do each day of my life. I am a writer who happens to tell stories with words and images. There are other definitions and uses of the word, of course, as we are all individuals, unique in form and circumstance. But I think we can all appreciate others who have those characteristics that define us as photographers and romantics.

I like how shooting film makes me romantic, I'll let my wife know next time she says I'm not romantic. I can see that going down like a lead balloon, "but honey, I shoot film!".

Have a great trip, Dave. I do it all the time. Now days I'm very calm, and try to enjoy family and friends every day. Like the San Blas Indians say; Paz Y Tranquilidad.

Well I forgot our Ist Wedding Anniversary and our last and most of the 27 in between. Don't know if that makes me a romantic or not but my wife still seems to love me.

Hi Dave. Congratulations on your upcoming 47th wedding anniversary. Hope you make it to 60, too.
By the way, I know you like the mountains. Several years ago you were headed to Highlands and mentioned the big chunk of rock that had fallen off Bridal Veil Falls and was blocking part of the road. I wrote to tell you that the last time I was there it had been moved.
Anyway, I always take note of your posts on the forum. Have a great trip.
