Argus Autronic 35

Hello All!

I have been searching endlessly for this but cannot find any information that is helpful.. I have the Autronic 35 and the string is broken so I am attempting to fix.. however, I am not able to get the top off which would let me slide the front out to service.

Sooo, does anyone have any clue on how the top comes off? Every screw that can be removed that is/was visible has been... :bang:

Ask over at the Argus Collectors Group http://www.arguscg.org/ I know several folks there have attempted repairs, but can't speak as to their success.

I have the first version of the autronic. On that camera the top flat rectangular metal plate came off using a plastic flat screwdriver (TV tweaker) to get under it and pry it off. Just be careful that you don't lift it up too far or it will get creases in it from bending too far.
