Hi Everybody,
I am getting my Argus C44 back in the photo game once again. It has the Cintagon Coated 50mm f1.9 lens on it. Has anyone here used this lens very much?

I have been collecting Argus cameras for quite some time and this is the only f1.9 I have come across. I see it listed in their literature as an option but was just wondering what user opinions were.

This seems like a pretty fast lens for this era American rangefinder and I am excited to see what it can do and how the photos will look.

Any advice or opinions greatly appreciated.

I can't tell you anything about the lens as I don't have one and don't remember ever seeing anyone comment on it.

But I do look forward to you posting some of your results.

I've never had any experience with that lens, either, but I had many years of a relationship with its predecessor on a C3 brick and a C3 Matchmatic. I assume the Cintagon f1.9 is better glass so I expect you'll be pleasantly surprised.

And do share the results.
