Argus/Steinheil Cintagon 100 Assembly

I recently won a 100mm Cintagon for very little. It has a problem - the front ring of the lens assembly is loose. I have removed the four screws that hold it on but it doesnt come off. Also, It is clear that someone has removed the screws before, the slots are worn.

Do any of you have any experience with these lenses? I would like get the ring tightened down properly.

Is it the lens for the C44 or for the C3?

I sold the one for a c44 years ago, but have one for a C3 somehwere in the big closet up stuff. Kind of like Fibber McGee's closet.
