Everything I'd read indicated that tis wasn't really doable, at least not with any real success. I was faced with a situation where I had no choice but to push it. I decided to try HC-110 Dilution B for 13 mins since that was the only thing I found after a quick search. It worked out just 'okay' for me. Grain is totally acceptable, but these were a bit. underdeveloped I think another minute or minute and a half will yield better results. Good know that it can be done with a moderate amount of success.

Never say never...

My recipe for Foma 400 @ 1600 is:
HC110B, 23 degrees, 15 minutes. Agitate for 30 secs, then 5 secs/30.
or 18 minutes at 21 degrees.

For 3200, try:
HC110B, 21 degrees, 29 minutes. Agitate for 30 secs, then 10 secs/2 minutes for 10 minutes, followed by 10 secs/5 mins.

These are both tried and tested for 120 film with good results. At 3200, it's obviously quite grainy, at 1600 much less so.

I think it turned out quite nicely!

I've seen much grainier at speed with the same film in Diafine and D76. And I've seen as grainy or grainier with Tri-X at 1600.

Did you shoot it at speed?

Thanks guys. I think an extra minute or two would do wonders.

As far as film curl goes, it does curl a bit but not nearly as much as Shanghai GP3.

I've been wondering how this film pushes. Not bad at all Alan. My camera store has bulk rolls in stock so I might have to make the jump & buy some. I've been buying lot's of the 100 EDU b&w.

This was Arista.edu 400 accidentally shot at 1600 (I left the ISO on 1600 after switching from Arista Premium). I dropped it in Rodinal 4mL/400mL for an hour and it came out OK. Lots of grain and not a lot of shadow detail, but what can you do.
