I use both at the same time, on two different cameras of course -- especially if I use a wide-angle lens on one body and normal on the other. I tend to carry the wa combo by a wrist strap and have the normal around my neck as a secondary shooter.

I used to go with no strap but it is really tiring so I went lazy with neck strap.

Whoops -- I missed the "technicalities" ;) I use neckstraps in whatever way seems fit. For whatever reason I'll have it either on my shoulder, over my neck, or just holding it gathered up in my hand. With more than one camera often one is short and the other long so they can both hang together -- I like versatility and it all depends upon the situation.

I use neither, like Vincent. I pull the Bessa's advance lever out a bit, and hook my thumb behind it. Beyond that, I just try not to drop it! ;)
Hehe... I do the thumbs thing, too!
Cheers

Thumb hook for the canonet, other than that, shoulder/neck strap for transport, arround the wrist when ready to shoot...

I'm another that always lands up with the neck strap wrapped around my wrist, so in the end I chopped it in half and have two wrist straps ;)

I said Hippy strap just because nobody else did :D

I have a Hippy strap on my Topcon and my Canon FTb.

This was a tough question, because I only use neck straps, but I usually wrap them around my wrist when shooting.

a hippie or hippy strap?

a hippy strap is longer, made for us fat guys!

a hippie strap is kinda psychadelic (sp?) in colour & design.
