Arrrrgh too many choices

Need some help deciding on what to go for next the choices so far are (in price order)

M4-2
M4-P

M6 0.72 TTL

M7 0.72
MP 0.72

I like the idea of Aperture priority on the M7 but it isn't totally necessary as I happily shoot full manual currently with my CL and Bronny. In your opinion what do you think I should settle for (will be using mainly 35mm and/or 50mm)

Sorry but I don't get your problem. If you have the money, just buy a brand new Leica with meter. So the real choice is between the M7 and the MP. But you know what you're expecting from the camera; we cannot make the choice for you. For instance, I would prefer the MP if I had the money; others prefer the M7 for the look, the winding knob ... and above all the aperture priority.
But since you list the M4 (2 or P) and not the M3-M2 as a possible choice, I guess you'll prefer the look and the handiness of the M7 over the MP's. Right?
So, go and get the M7, shoot some rolls and show us your pictures! :angel:

The rational answer:
Since both the Bronica RF and the Leica CL exposure time dials turn in the direction of the M7 and M6TTL dials you could choose one of those. If AE is not necessary go for the M6TTL and buy lots of film for the savings.

The irrational answer:
MP looks best, feels best, is best. Get one!

I think the big question is "do you want a builtin meter?". M6's are great deals at the moment, but as stated above MP's are just sexy!

Hi.

A M6 would probably be a nice mix between user-friendly handling, feel and budget, been thinking of a 2nd camera my self, and ended up with a another M6, but this one in chrome, 1267 usd with a 50mm rigid summicron, not so bad price for being in Norway.
But thats my choice .. 🙂

If money isn't an issue, there really is no reason not to get the M7 or MP. After all, at least with the MP, you can just leave the batteries out if you want to use handheld meters.

Till the cows come home, get the MP. It is and always will be a classic. You will never have a question about how it's been treated. You will now all of its secrets and it will become part of you. I got me M6 and M4P new and they feel like an extension of me.

Now only available from the a la carte program. For over a year now the only bog standard M7 is the 0.72 mag. 🙂

I have an M7 and an MP and it would be hard for me to choose one over the other. I bought the M7 first for practical reasons, and later the MP because I couldn't get rid of that nagging feeling that's that the one I should have bought. For me, the M7 is still more practical and gets a little more use. I like the AE, the step-less shutter speeds are nice, and I've heard that electronic the shutter is a little more accurate. The MP on the other hand has the unmistakable feel of a high quality mechanical instrument that's just hard to describe. It's my sentimental favorite.

I'm sorry I can't come down on one side or the other, but if these are your choices, you can't go wrong.

My guess would be buy the M4 of your choice... then you can buy more glass!!

To me it was all in the viewfinder.

I like my ttl version M6 (.85) over my ttl m6 (.72) viewfinder. Would have kept my M3 bodies but never could get them without issues.

Though I'm currently having a hard time deciding between a M7, 50mm Noct, or 75mm Lux.

Only thing is I likes my 35mm on the (.72) viewfinder and completely happy with my 50/lux and 90/cron.
