I saw the exhibit (in a public square) which featured Summers work along side Ralph Gibson and Danny Clinch. I also attended a discussion that the three men gave this past Saturday morning as part of the Luminato arts festival. All three were pretty adamant about their love for their Leicas and film photography in general. The main topic of discussion was the relation between music and photos. Gibson's new book is a collaboration with Summers and features portraits of guitars (text by Summers).
Clinch admitted to doing some work in digital while the other two were dead set against it.
All three were pretty friendly and signed autographs following the show. Though I surmise that a chunk of the audience were Police fans with no interest in photography.
The following was taken at Yonge and Dundas square where the photo exhibition is featured. The photo in the bg is by Danny Clinch and features Radiohead's Thom Yorke. Check out Danny's stuff if you're not familiar with him. http://www.dannyclinch.com/
