Thought I'd share a few pics (sorry about the quality of those last two...quickly took them with the Mac's webcam) of my Artisan&Artist half-case made for the R-D1. It's made with some amazingly soft and thick leather and fits the R-D1 like a glove (notice no seams at the corners of the camera...just wraps around so nicely), really improving the handling. Got it at Map Camera for about 15,000 Yen (maybe 120-130 USD now a days) for those interested. Not sure if they are making them nowadays, but at the time they had stopped producing them...I could only choose between a green or blue one as they had sold out of black (this was about 1 year ago).
Any other R-D1 owners have this case? I'd love to see yours.

That's a cool case. I dig that utilitarian grip on the front, and I like the green. I haven't been able to find one though...maybe I just haven't looked hard enough.

That's really a cool case.
I did not know that there were so many different brands around.
Half cases work so well with this type of cameras.
These cases only get better over the years.
When I ordered my Luigi case, I opted for the closed back since I never use the LCD
screen.
