I went down to the camera show in Torrance w/ a pocketfull of cash fully intending to purchase a 25mm Skopar from Gandy ("$300 is cheap enough to buy new, " I thought to myself. Well, either Mr. G didn't show today or left early. I was ready to leave in disgust when I noticed a few M lenses in a case. I asked the dealer what he had in a wide angle M mount. He replied nothing, but that he did have somthing in a screw mount. He then proceeded to pull a well used, but still fine 25mm Skopar complete w/ caps, hood, boxes and literature. He even threw in a VC screw mount adapter for $125.00! I slapped that baby on and headed to San Pedro for an afternoon of unrestrained candid shooting. The lens is missing a little paint (it's black which is what I wanted), and the aperture ring is a bit stiff, but overall it's quite sweet and wondrously light on my MP. Just goes to show....it pays to ask!!!
