Hi, a lovely Barnack. I see what you mean about the condition-wonderful!
It is a shame about the shutter release. Mine is scruffier but has the mushroom shaped, indented shutter button.
I would recommend the Fodis rangefinder; it really complements the camera although people peer at you even more than usual!
I love the 'feel, weight, smell and sound' of mine.......lovely.
I don't worry about a strap; I keep mine in a Crumpler bag-good modern protection! It fits the camera,rangefinder, exposure meter and bits and pieces. The Barnack then slips into a pocket for shooting.....sorted and great fun!
