This was 1 lot in my local Auction house a couple of weeks ago.
There are, in this box;
2 No. Leica reporters, 1 with a Summar,
3 No. Leica 2 or 3 Camera bodys.
1 No M3 Camera Body. SS.
3 No. 90mm Elmar (Pre & Post war)
2 Stewartry Trinol 105mm.
1 Schneidar Xenar 13.5 cm
1 Zeiss Biotar 5.3 cm ( Unsure of Mount)
1 Hektor 7.3 cm 1.9
It went, in the end for £4400.00 + VAT + Buyers premium etc etc..
Still a bargain?

Also in the sale were 3 more Reporters etc etc..
look at the link to see what they made.
Price crash on Ebay for reporters if they all go on at once!
Given they made less than a thousand Reporters.
This represent quite a big percentage to come up at one time!
The Auction was quite well attended...Unfortunately I had no spare cash at the time, so did not buy anything.

It was someone's lucky day but buying mixed lots in cardboard boxes can be a gamble. Even if the cameras look good when you see them things can go missing before the sale. Who knows how many people with sticky fingers will have picked them up, taken them apart, played with them, put fingers on delicate glass and pocketed hard to replace parts... I have seen it happen on too many occasions. Once the hammer comes down it's the buyer's problem. So always remember caveat emptor.

Auction estimates are always low to encourage bidders.
The Cameras should have gone to a specialist Auction,
& been split into smaller lots.
In another lot there were 4 boxes of mostly Leica; lenses film canister, close up attatchments etc. etc... 1 of these boxes was full of the film spools for the reporter. probably 20 of them!
Some are on Ebay at the moment for about £100 a pair.
But who needs film spools for Reporters? Cant imagine many people are actually shooting with them? Or am I wrong?
Has anyone actually shot a full 250 roll with a reporter recently?
