New York August Meet-Up

This is a bump.

Also, I made a lot of progress sewing the camera bag. Should be finished by the Sunday Meet-up.

A major set-back with learning how to sew through many plies of material.

I learned that the problems of missed stitches, knotting and broken thread is linked to thread tension. I did a search and download. Hopefully I'm back on track.

The good news is I came up with a clever solution to add the sides. Like Jazz this has been a big improve, but the results are remarkably great.

Can I finish by the Sunday Meet-Up?

Seems like knoting happens from a lack of tension and then the half horsepower motor on the JUKI simply breaks the thread again and again. Spent about 2 1/2 hours last night struggling, and I was thouroghly defeated.

The good news is that my design evolved in the process. Good thing I'm stubborn. LOL. I guess the foolishness of trying to sew a really nice camera bag from scratch without any plans as a spontainious act of creation is kinda stressful, especially with a short deadline.

So... the question is will I make a fool of myself? I'll be at the Meet-Up either way. Just laughing at my self.

The meet-up is only 4 days away! I'll bring my wife's NEX-5 with M mount adapter and my Rolleiflex this time :)

What about that MP with the Noctilux and new winder? Please bring to torment me while my M6 is away getting overhauled and upgraded.

BTW the impulsive artist in me bought another Rolleiflex. I bought a Automat MX-EVS for the Tessar look because I miss my 50/2.8 Elmar.

Seriously, isn't a meet-up a good reason to show off your new gear? My girlfriend surely doesn't think having so many cameras as being cool. LOL. When I showed her my new Rolleiflex that is older than me she said. "No comment."

Can't believe how long it took me to get to say I'll be there. So here we go, I'll be there Sunday. Though I don't think I have any new toys to bring.
 
iCaramba! I have a 2PM engagement tomorrow that I'd clean forgot about...not sure if I'll make it, but you'll know the score if I don't show up.

Yeah, I got some snapshots up @ Flickr under "NEX-5", and I will upload more when I finish the roll in my M6, just click on my signature :)
