Bloody hell ... and meanwhile DCW haven't even bothered to update anyone on their order list about their stock stuation with the X100.

DCW were recommended to me by a friend who has bought Nikon DSLR equipmment from them recently ... personally I'd be hard pressed to recommend them to anyone! Maybe they're a little more attentive if you're buying ten grands worth of DSLR gear.

I may try them (camerapro) Monday morning and see if they still have anything in stock!

Good luck Keith, they are a little hidden away so hopefully they will not get sold:)
He said already sold 9 so hopefully it will not get snatch them too quickly, unless from interstate people.

Hope you get it on monday!

Off to do some shooting

I was checking camerapro's site and amazingly they currently have the M9 listed for $500.00 less than the M8 ...

I guess the recent buying power of the Aussie dollar has something to do with that!

Cameralane have them in stock. And a lot cheaper than the criminally exorbitant prices quoted in the various b&s classifieds.

fyi, I bought an elinchrom flash setup from camerapro, picked it up from their little (hard to find) store in inner Brisbane. Early on I realized a part on one of the flashes had a fault with it, so I called them and they organized to have another part sent to me straight away.

Good service.

Hi Keith,

Monday may be a little too late, was in there today, a friend of mine picked one up, and as of about 1pm they only had one left, nice little shop, lots of gear and friendly service.

Call them early, and fingers crossed. :)

^ Wow - there must be a HUGE demand for the camera if they've managed to sell out of 10+ of them from 1 tiny shop in Brisbane in 2 or so days....

Yeah they are selling the as fast as they can get them, the shop owner said that they have 40 on backorder for clients, which is huge if this is trending everywhere.

Out of the three that a store got, one was sold. The other two was unsellabe - dirty sensor and DOA. At least this store checks their stock before selling them!
