Grew up in Sydney, but born... somewhere else.

For some weird reason almost all my decent/okay photos have been taken o/s, either travelling or studying. I dunno what that says about me 🙁

Originally NZer but wised up and came to Queensland via London Amsterdam and Copenhagen. Did I lose my way?🙂
Been here since '61 and decided to make it legal and get the Oz passport since it was cheaper and I never intend to return.

The 'antipodes' are called so because on mediaeval maps the bits of the world that were uncharted had all kinds of imaginary beasts and people on imaginary lands. The ones at the bottom of the world had feet that pointed backwards (so they thought) Hence anti-podes or backward feet, as opposed to just 'backward'😱 as is now thought.

Thought I'd throw in that bit of useless trivia!

Perth, born and bred. Sadly the only place that will develop film around here is a 45 minute drive away. Sigh.

But that's alright. Our beaches make up for it.

MELBOURNE ...ITS a melburn now ...everything burning the pocket with sky high rocket expensive stuff...a roll of film cost you $23 AUD and everything else..dont mention it..

I just sent 2 colour rolls to Melbourne's Photo Barn (East Burwood) - there's nothing around here (Wagga NSW), at least not that I know, that will process film. (I do my own B&W).

The funniest thing that I've ever heard, local Kmart will process film (somewhere else - they need a week) and give me a CD with scans, however (and I kid you not) I do not get my film back?! What?! Forget it.
