Tracking sprint boats coming at me at 100mph or MotoGp bikes at close to 200mph is AF naturally. Studio sometimes AF sometimes MF. depends on model/actor. Head shots MF usually. Film all MF. I do though have several MF only lenses for my DSLR's which I use very often.

If it's for rangefinders only, then I should have voted for "only manual." I hit 'vote' before it occurred to me to limit my answer to only rangefinders. But the answer that includes all my gear is probably 90% manual and 10% auto. I'm starting to practice zone focus, though. The only time I use auto is with the sole p&s digital I have because trying to manually focus with that little dial on the back is a major PITA.

With DSLR's I use mostly AF but I really enjoy my manual Nikon FA and FM3A. I find it a little difficult to use the AF lenses in manual mode, so if I need to do that I Zone focus.

All cameras I own is MF and My eye sight is giving me some trouble. Still I am om MF and wish I could have AF on My Leica M and other cameras 🙂
