What the hell has using film got to do with this thread?
I don't see any association between age and film or digital preference ... did I miss something?
Nothing, but Carterofmars seems to see a connection.

Perhaps we should always give our average age? I feel half as old when I do so...

Very worried - I'll turn sixty in a couple of months - will I immediately lose all interest in photography? Or just photography forums?

Come on, 31-40! I'm pleasantly surprised by the robust population of younger RFFers.

Who said they use film?
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103434
49.07% use film here on RFF. 34.16% report using a healthy mix of film and digiital.
Combined that's 83.23% of RFF members reporting to use film.
I think it's reasonable to consider that over 80% contributing to this poll are using film.

Who really cares what anyone's favourite focal length, black and white film, light meter, developer etc may be?
We have to do something with this forum space that we've been given by the chosen one. (our bartender)

I am impressed to see that there is actually about 15% of members in their 20's.
Even if we can't relate too directly membership with owning high grade camera, I remember that until 30 I was not able to purchase lots of things, such as "serious" cameras. My first "real" camera was a FM3a, back in 2001, with its 45mm nikkor. I was 26/27, and was in Japan (Tokyo) doing my military service. How happy I was !
Before that, I used a lot of disposable cameras. With great pleasure, and not the smallest bit of frustration (you can't miss what you don't know).
It is much later, that I discovered that in my grand mother attic, was waiting my grand uncle's 1947 Leica IIIc with its 1949 summitar (or was it the contrary?). I was 31.
Edit : It is nice to see there are many "elderly people" here. When it comes to photography, experience is of great importance.
