I turned 53 last November. On my 52nd I told my wife, "Finally, I'm playing with a full deck."

She said, "Think again. There's a few jokers in the deck and I believe you're missing some diamonds. I sure haven't seen any in a while!"

D'oh!

Next thing you know is whether or not you are wearing shoes or sandals shooting a leica m3. Don't hesitate posting...I am sure it will contribute to the art of photography....

Early baby boomers...

Early baby boomers...

are starting to drop off. Is it our eyesight? I always have difficulty finding the "sweet spot" on my progressive bifocals. And the hip new frames have even smaller lens openings. I like to focus, not guess.

Any boomers have the same problem? How do you compensate?
P.S. Good thread question.

Great point, but

Great point, but

30 to 60 years is when you do make the more serious money.

I got the money ( Workmens Compensation Settlements) for my Leicas from having my body beaten, battered, and broken during injuried-on-duty (IOD) incidents with the YPD. If I had not gotten injured I would have been promoted to Detective/Sergeant, earned by competitive testing, and then I would have made the serious money. But I had to retire on disability. I did'nt like the trade-off.

I suspect the average age of an RFf user varies by thread....some of the more contentious threads seem to be populated by 5 or 6 year olds...:D

An interesting question that is a pendant to this one is:
At what age did you start with your RF?
I have been an almost loyal user of RF for 30 years.
projected into the future, the build up I see is very healthy, because RF shooters tend to stick to the camera. Like with super glue ;)

Today I calculated the average… Taking 15 years for the people from 10-20, 25 for those from 21-30, 35 for the next group and so on.

It results in the equation
15430 overall years / 355 people = 43.46 years per people

This means the average RFF member is roughly 43.46 years old. :)

I'm 16 years old. I shoot with a M2 and the CV 35/1.4
I work at a hospital gift shop selling flowers and balloons... it pays off! haha

Quickly clicked in the 31-40 box, before I wait too long and need to check the next one. ;)

Indeed, that's amazing!

Use your young age and the money you earn in your gift shop job, before house, cars, insurance and a family burns everything on your pay cheque! ;)
