The wait is already killing me. I made my order with Oleg, thanks to his fine reputation on these forums. You wouldn't believe how badly I wish Oleg lived down the street from me!

I'm just getting back into film, having recently picked up a Bronica ETR kit. I decided I "needed" a rangefinder because of all you addicts on this forum. I swear, your addiction is contagious!

Now that I've placed an order, I seem to be lurking here for countless hours a day. This is already proving to be unhealthy!

Back to more wait, wait, waiting....

I have heard that with early therapy and frequent group counselling sessions shared with AA members and crack addicts ... it may, and I do emphasise may ... just be possible to get it under control early and prevent it ruining your life. If not you are more than welcome here! :D

love it. And people like to think of themselves as unique. We're all the same!

Even when I know there's nothing particularly engaging to read or write about on RFF any particular hour, I'll log in anyway. Sort of a reflex action. Like scratching or like a nervous twitch. Obessive compulsive RFF surfing. And in regular conversations with family and friends, I feel like some rare breed of Tourette Syndrome victim. You can imagine what sorts of seemingly random verbs, nouns, and rangefinder related vulgarities burst from my mouth at inopportune moments.

When I am away from the computer for long periods of time (like on my trip to Greece and Turkey), I find that GAS is far less affecting than when I am home and subject to the full brunt of its poison.

I feel something like a cross between severe hunger, craving for nicotine (smokers know this feeling), and another...sensation... at the sight of a camera I want. You might call it love.

And yes, the time spent waiting for that package to arrive is rather rough - and it will drive you into the arms of RFF. This is why the "what are you waiting for in the mail?" thread exists.

Welcome aboard. But once you're part of this family, there's no getting out. Ever

Oooohh, yeah. We really see a WHOLE LOT of that around here. We're just all lined up at the therapist's door begging for relief. LOL!! Don't go filling the lad's head with pie-in-the-sky dreams. He's toast! We're all toast! There's so much toast here in the FSU.Forum, we look like the breakfast buffet at Denny's!

You're right, Dan. The wait is a killer. (I'm currently waiting on two. :bang: :bang: ) But not to worries. The leedle wheels of the leedle white Postal truck turn slow... but sure. Your package shall arrive - again, and again and again.

Well what did you get Dan?... Are you gonna make us wait in suspense?:D
I decided to start small. After going through plenty of recommendation threads, I decided on a Fed 2.

But with the cost of shipping, I thought it might be prudent to buy a backup to the Fed 2. Say...a Zorki 6 perhaps? Oh! Oh! Oh! And that Kiev 4 looks pretty awesome! Might as well order that too...ya know, to save on shipping.

Three cameras!! I can't seem to keep my hand out of the cookie jar.

I've been using my (new to me) Bronica to help take the edge off.

This is killer though. I find myself daydreaming at work, wondering which of my three children I'll end up liking most. And don't even get me started about how I'm gonna have to decide which one gets my first *click*!

hehe, welcome to the special wing of the madhouse that is reserved for us FSU users :D

Nice choice in cameras :D the FED2, Kiev 4, and Zorki 6 are all excellent little bundles of photographic joy...

Hi Dan
My budget Fed 2's - three of them arrived yesterday - my first Feds ! Maroon , which I am sure is a repaint , but two genuine blue and green ones - not anywhere near as trustworthy as an Oleg , but at £63 total incl , NEAT !
As a Zorki S [ in black ! ] admirer , I did not know what the fuss was about 'till these babies came in a big box !
Now I know why Oleg suggested a Fed 2 ! I did not get on with the combined viewfinder of my Zorki 6 , but I am fine with these !
You have a treat in store Dan !
i have crazy-in-head stuff to contend with , so it's a relief to find that real people go crazy for these budget beauties !
