I am out of film....... one miserable roll of Tri-X left and have been searching the net for a cheap fix.
The states is still the cheapest but of course the shipping costs a bit.

Was wondering if any of you are in the same boat?

I am surveying the 'market' and MIGHT be happy to co-ordinate an order........

Id be interested in some HC-110 :D like 4 bottles....something that will last a while since its impossible to get here. Maybe some film. Ive found a good supplier of Acros though..

Hi - it must be your turn! Yep, I'll be in that. Let me know a deadline and I'll sort out what I want. B&H was cheaper overall on my last purchase, after postage.

Krzys: I am not sure if they'd be happy to ship chemicals or if we'd run into trouble with OZ customs.... any experience?

Chris: Will count you in. Also, you've had some experience doing this. Any advice is much appreciated in terms of payment and shipping locally.

I will co-ordinate an order for 5 persons including myself - first come first serve.
Orders will need to be finalized by 1800hrs this coming Sunday Evening.

Please PM me your order including your calculation of the price in USD.
Will then place the order and let you know the value in AUD.

So far we have:
1. Myself
2. Chris N
3. Krzys

One lesson from the first group order I organised, from Freestyle. If you are a first-time customer with Freestyle they won't accept credit card payment, and demand a wire transfer (known here in Oz as a telegraphic transfer). This will cost additional fees from your bank and from the service that performs the telegraphic transfer. Freestyle also charged another fee on top for them to receive the payment via wire transfer! So if anyone is considering hosting the next bulk film order, keep the value of the total purchase below US$250 for your first purchase.

I asked for payment in advance before the order was lodged, via bank transfer, so that I would not be out-of-pocket if anyone had problems. Local postage is very reliable, but it might be worth insisting on registered post which only costs an additional $2.50 or so but gives $100 insurance. When sharing the postage cost (US -> Oz) a simple pro-rata based on shares of the total cost is usually good unless someone is ordering something particularly heavy.

Thanks for organising this - cheers!

Chris N: Thanks for the advice. I have bought items from Freestyle before...... doesn't matter to us in this case. Think i will go with what you did. Payment in advance before order. What do you do about the exchange rate?

So far we have:
1. Me
2. ChrisN
3. Krzys - still waiting for B & H to reply regarding shipping chemicals
4. Hunghang

One more spot left.

Got a reply from Keith and he is pretty well stocked for the moment.

So that makes 5.

I have received orders from HungHang and ChrisN.
Will finalize it as soon as i've received orders from the rest.

Guys, what specials were tempting on BNH? I need B+W stock (100/400) and saw a ridiculous offer on Freestyle (30 bucks for 20 rolls). anything similar on there?
