B/W scanning - V500 or Scan Dual IV ?

I'm re-starting to scan my own 35mm b/w film and wanted to find out the general consensus on which to use. I own both.

The Scan Dual IV has a better film holder but the V500 might be better optically. But I'm not sure.

My ultimate goal would be to print 8x10 or 11x14. Probably not any larger.

Scan dual IV anyday. I had a v600 and it absolutely paled in comparison to the scan dual IV I had before it.

Note that for 11x14 maximum the epson would still probably be fine.
 
dedicated scanners provide much better resolution/detail.
whats convenient with a flatbed is that you can mount different formats and a couple of exposures for 35mm.
a V750 takes 12 exposures at once, greatly reduce the effort of scanning. It takes a long time, but you do not have to do anything while it scans, so you can go and clean the house, meanwhile :)
