Kind of curious about two things. One, the dr5 process. I understand this is an all-chemical reversal process? Is it in fact proprietary, or can you do it at home? I'm particularly interested to know if anyone here is using Fomapan-R and sending it off to dr5...what do they charge per roll of processing, uncut and unmounted?

Also, I was buying some color slide film from B&H and saw that Agfa Scala is in stock. Has Agfa come back to life and started making it again, or is this NOS? I also saw they're selling Rodinal again as "Rodinal," not R09.

Feel free as well to make general comments about B&W slide film...I have never shot it.

I will be getting back some rollei atp from dr5 i will let you know how much it costs and maybe post a pic. The only problem was I used a canon a1 with a 17mm lens and not a rangefinder. I don't know if anyone would be happy about me posting a non rangefinder pic.

I've used DR5, according to their recommended speeds for the film I was using. I was disappointed -- the slides look flat and or incorrectly exposed (developed?). This is unlikely to be a result of my exposure technique, as I have shot color slides successfully for a few years (say 30). It had to be:
differences between shooting color and B&W slides, something in teh development, or the film -- DR% warns you that Tri-X ages fast and that you should only shoot fresh Tri-X for their process.

After several rolls of different films, I gave up, partially due to cost.

But their website is very, very nice and tempting, so I'd be curious about other people's experience. Hey, it might have been the full moon when I shot or they processed.
