anyone got this setup? -- and does the lens hit the filter on macro?

which B+W filter did you get. just want to get this filter purchase right and not find out it hits the lens after i have bought it.

did you get black or silver. thanks

I have the adapter and a normal filter. At full macro extension there is still at least 3mm to go from the lens surround to the front of the adapter so I can't see a problem.

I'm looking for a thin BW filter myself - I didn't know they existed but I'd like something to make the camera as thin as poss while still keeping a filter on it.

Where does one get such a thing? I was going to get a silver filter but I'm in Australia so I did did not get one from Adorama because the shipping was $60 (!!!) for a $20 filter... Ended up with the normal Hoya HMC.

I'd also like one a bit less rough at the front, as it makes it hard to place/remove from a pocket or bag.

(Clearly I like to use the filter alone as protection rather than take the hood on and off)

did you get the fuji adapter? - where from?

i'm in oz as well and still not sure whether to get the fuji adapater + 3rd party hood or the fuji hood (comes with adapter)

Yep I bought the Fuji adapter and hood as a kit - I think the value seems to be better over here as it's $100 for both where I've heard our American cousins talking $150. I had mine on preorder with the case - still waiting for the case and nowhere I know of has rings or hoods at the moment either, sorry...

I reckon the Fuji hood is a lovely piece of Kit - I'm glad I got it.

The main reason I'm looking at thin filters, adapters etc is just to make it a bit thinner all over.
