I had a similar problem and just brought all affected M mount lenses as well as my Hexar body to a local camera tech. He adjusted the rangefinder on my Hexar and also adjusted all my lenses.
all my lenses no focus perfectly fine on my Hexar as well as on all other M bodies.
If all your lenses work fine but it's just this particular lens that is causing problems, can't one just put a thin shim behind the lens mount or something?
you have to adjust the cam. Rangefinders and rangefinder lenses do need calibration to each other, just like you sometimes have to calibrate an AF lens, or adjust the matte screen SLRs use with shims.
Adjusting was in the sub-€-100 range if I remember correctly. I had a few things done at once, so no idea what was what.
If you are in Europe, maybe you can mail yours? He did my 90 M-Hexanon a while back, my 28 was fine all the time.
