Back from Iceland, with some photos

Cool... in more ways than one.

I rather prefer cool weather to warm. It was not too cold when we went -- about 40 degrees. The issue was the wind. It was constant and powerful. There was very rarely a break in the wind.

I'd brought a bunch of ND filters and a tripod, but could not do any long exposures as a result of the blustery conditions. Well, I took one but wasn't thrilled with the result.

Some really amazing photos. I want to go there!
Please let us see some of the film shots when they are ready.

Thanks and will do!

You should go. TravelZoo has some deals for iceland now and then. They are usually listed in the top 20 section.

We didnt use a travelzoo deal, but got a bargain on airfare through an Iceland Air special.

And now I am out of keepers until I develop my film.

That first one is especially mind-bending. I read it in reverse - the darker areas looking like sea water and the white areas looking like an ice shelf.

Thank you. Never thought of it that way -- probably because I was there so the black being the sand and the white / blue being the water seems obvious to me. Now it is bending my mind as well. 🙂
