Got back from Rome on Saturday & still jet-lagged....
The trip was extremely mentally relaxing, which was the purpose of this little vacation.
Equipment-wise:
The 35mm Skopar was used about 90% of the time. The f2.5 was just fine and I didn't find it bothersome even in low light, but I was using iso400 film. The M was a joy to use due to the RF virtues that we're all familiar with (small & non-bulky, unobtrusive, etc...). Hyperfocal @ f/8-11, point, click!
Photographically:
Well, what a time to be down in the dumps! It was one of those weeks, which I'm sure we've all had, where the creative juices weren't flowing. So many photo-ops around, but my mind was just in a dud. Either I was just too slow with the camera, or wasn't anticipating things the way I would like. There's usually a couple pics per trip that are embedded in my mind which would lead me to think something like, "I got that one" or "the other rolls are worth that one photo..."
Sadly, no such photo/photos while in Rome.
Still managed to kill approx 25 rolls though! Maybe when I start developing these, a hidden gem will reveal itself....?
Cheers, j
