Well, for the most part the images show people holding Leica cameras... nothing wrong with that - but not what I would call "great images". Ok, the guy holding two Leicas to his ears is kinda funny. Gotta be the most expensive "hearing aid" there is ;-)

A good way to perpetuate the stereotype that Leicas are just expensive necklaces for show...

I think the OP was referring to images from page 2 of the website and onwards....

You got to admit though, that the p version, whether its BP or chrome, looks much nicer w/o the red dot. It's another question whether that bit, plus the other "upgrades", is worth $1000.

i don't know...if i spent that much money i sorta want the red dot!
i don't think it's adds any stealth to the camera really...

"And just to show the level of detail from the Leica M9-P with Leica 21mm Super-Elmar-M ASPH f/3.4"
It isnt even a M9-P. Its an M2. Lol!
Also, WTF is up with people focusing while looking through the OVF???

In the event that anyone actually does look at the photos on that site, quite a few are quite good.

Corroding tank M9 35 ASPH
I enjoyed it but would have enjoyed more information about the P model. Yes I realize it is nothing more than the regular M9 but, well, I enjoy reading about it anyway. I would like to get the sapphire screen as mine is badly scratched but I always thought it Should be part of the original anyway.
I enjoyed viewing some of the images. edit: I looked more and while some are ok, many are so-so. The blurry images just look blurry, to me.

True, looking further through the pages, there are some nice pictures. But it is a VERY mixed bag, and the captions are some of the most self-aggrandizing/unvoluntarily funny I have ever read.
On this page: http://www.overgaard.dk/leica-M9-digital-rangefinder-camera-page-2.html
"As if that persons full cahracter was summed up in that one hand-expression. In fact, it was. Leica M9 with 50mm Summicron-M f/2.0."
Or from the text: "On a final note, and I've noticed I'm not the only one: I bring my camera almos tall the time. I've actually started saying "I wear my Leica M9" which implies both a fashion statement, but also that I have it around the neck like a shirt. Hence the seven socks, five t-shirts and one Leica M9."
(Imagine how many socks and t-shirts he could buy for one Leica M9 ;-))

Interesting, thanks for the post. I have never seen so many gentile-looking blokes sporting M9s!

It's not just the Red Dot, it's the M9 engraving on the left side too!

Yes, but, I then I thought i saw that the M2 had the 21 mounted on it so I assumed an error. Whatever. I found the first page of pics kindve silly.

- To be sure that lens is focused on infinity (its easy to have it moved away by accident)
- To focus on other distance. With some practice its fairly easy to focus "by feel" given mechanical MF (as opposed to by-wire).
