Just bought a non working II, it's off to my repairman right now. everything is gummed up, needs a CLA. Can't wait to try it out; these photos are what made me want to see what the old camera had to offer!
Actually I find my Super BC or Rapid tends to accompany me most frequently. For manual photography with best possible quality, the relatively hard to second model Super is probably the pick of the bunch.
Cheers

Cameraworks in Latham, NY. He's semi-retired, and he doesn't like to work on them, but I sweet talked him with a bunch of other work and a couple of cameras to add to his parts bin, haha. Only open wed-fri. He does good work, but you have to specify if you want a full CLA, otherwise he'll fix whatever is noticeably wrong and not dive deeper into the camera. The prices he charges reflects that. I've always had good luck with him, and any camera that has developed an issue he has worked on either for free (even after his 6 month warranty period) or at a very reduced rate to make it right.
Damn, I might just have one of the nicer Super BCs or the one Rapid I have sent in to Henry Scherer- I do like the mini late model Contarex feel of the Super BC

We should talk. Depending on what you have on hand, Contaflex wise, if you have anything surplus, we might be able to work something out. I've made just a few Contaflexes work properly again. I find the later ones more enjoyable to work with than the earlier types but have delved into them all.
Cheers,
Brett
This is true, but there's quite a lot you can do with a 35mm, 85mm, 115mm and a set of Zeiss close up lenses for the standard 50mm. And with magazine backs for the later types you'll always have the film you need in the camera you need it in, when you find the shot.
