After many starts and stops, I finally went back into the darkroom for a session last night. It (the darkroom) is a "temporary" jury-rigged affair, which I can literally roll up and stuff into a cabinet. I am still shopping around for an enlarger, so I made a number of contact prints from 120 6 x 9 negatives and Polaroid negatives. In the twenty years or so since I last printed, the variable contrast RC paper has definitely improved. I've attached a scan of one of my contact prints and apologize in advance for the poor quality --- the original contact print is much better (which makes some sense, since that was why I went back to traditional "wet" darkroom printing)
