Backpacking for 2 Weeks, 2x M240 batteries enough?

The wife and I will be backpacking Europe for 2 weeks starting this Friday.
To keep everything light and simple I figured I'll be carrying only the M240 and 2 batteries.

Will two batteries be enough?
Not planning on shooting much, maybe around 50 shots per day and will not be using Live View much.

thanks, if only Leica or some other 3rd party companies like Watson/Pearstone would make wall chargers for the M240 as I hate the ones that Leica offers.
Friend is lending me his extra battery but down the road I might buy another battery to be safe.

the long power cord is the aspect of the Leica charger that I dislike. but there are adapters that will eliminate the long power cord and turn the Leica charger into a wall mount for wall sockets in different parts of the world. the company that sells the following one has several variants available

If you avoid using Live View, and set the rear screen brightness to the lowest setting, you MIGHT get two weeks of usage from those batteries. But I agree with noisycheese -- why not just take the charger to be safe? It's not really that big. Personally I would hate to be on a trip and have my batteries completely drain on me.

personally because of the long cord that Leica provides for their charger.
plus when travelling, I try to bring as less gears as possible, when I was shooting Sony and Fuji I was using a Pearstone/Watson charger that I could change the plate depending on the cameras I had with me.
But with the M240 and X100 then this means I'll have to carry 2 sets of chargers

If you have an x100 why not just take that, batteries are really cheap for the fuji.

The charger takes a standard "Euro-8" shaver cable. There are extra short cables, with an Euro plug on the other side so that you even don't need an adapter:

You have to be a very rare shooter. When I travel, I use about one battery a day for the M240... And that camera is only one of most times three cameras, that I have with me and I never use live view, and I don't use the display for checking images...

I would strongly recommend a charger. The charger is not much to carry, and add a second or third SD card. The trip might get visually very interesting, and then you would probably love to have the chance to shoot more.

The logical choice really is to take your x100.
50shots per day? It's realistic that 2 batteries could do with a charge at a hotel ever few days or so. Definetly take the charger.
Still, the x100 is made for this sort of travel and it weighs in at close to nothing 😀

I can't imagine two batteries lasting two weeks in Europe.

But then I also don't get the distaste for the long power cord. That's the thing I like about the leica charger. Means you don't have a huge thing blocking all available outlets wherever it is plugged in. And it can always be used as an emergency tie down, whip, or garrotte in case you get caught in a web of international intrigue

We have electricity in Europe you know... 2 batteries and charger are fine. The charger plus wall plug weigh exactly 106 grams - the same as a bar of Swiss chocolate...

X100 will be used mostly by the wife and I have 3 Fuji batteries (unless I change my mind and tell her to use her iphone instead 😛)
I will also be bringing my Watson charger, if only someone would make a charging plate for the M240 batteries then I wouldn't be facing this problem.
I ordered a Euro and American plug for the Leica charger from sfcable since we are backpacking Asia for 3 weeks in March but it will not arrive before Friday for this coming trip.

I'm not much of a happy trigger shooter now a days, only pull out the camera when I want a high-res shot or shooting landscape, otherwise it is the X100 or Iphone for me.

So far in my camera bag I have the X100, M240 with 50mm collapsible and 21mm CV.

I sporadically shoot with the M240, currently after using it every weekend for the past 3 weeks, I'm still on one battery sitting at 70% with a little over 300 frames taken.

Light is one thing but with digital cameras being completely dependant upon batteries for EVERYTHING pack a charger of your choice.

If something big happens while on the trip the ability to charge a battery or having an extra memory card or two is light weight (and small) insurance.
