I get an easy day of heavy shooting from one battery in the M240. Two batteries would be quite enough as long as you take a charger and keep them charged alternatively.

Not only that, but it is not unknown to pack a camera whilst still switched on and end up with an empty battery and not a shot fired...

the long power cord is the aspect of the Leica charger that I dislike. ...
I prefer the power code chargers myself ... I just buy short cords for them. That way I can attach several charging devices to a small power extension, and use a single UK or EURO type wall plug to charge all my batteries at once.
Chargers which sit on the wall socket take up more space, you can typically only charge one battery at a time because you can't fit two of them onto the same wall socket.

the long power cord is the aspect of the Leica charger that I dislike. but there are adapters that will eliminate the long power cord and turn the Leica charger into a wall mount for wall sockets in different parts of the world. the company that sells the following one has several variants available

Two batteries should be more than enough if you have access to electricity. The duck-head plugs work well, but sometimes outlets are a little too loose to hold them.
