Not sure if anybody else has run into this. Never had a good experience with TMAX. Still haven't. This time some chemical in the backing paper has exposed the film. See this thread for others with the same issue:

Not sure how long it takes for film to be damaged, but I did buy this roll of TMAX 400 from a camera store that was closing down, and it wasn't exactly new. I would say if you have some 120 TMAX film with an expiration date of ~2015 then think about tossing it out.

Huge discussion on APUG about this. Kodak used bad paper for several of their 120 films. They're aware of the problem and have been working on a solution.

It's disappointing, but I am glad that the roll I found out on was shot locally. I can just go out and shoot again. If it was on vacation film, I would be a lot more depressed!

That was my last roll of it thankfully.

Well that's too bad.
Tmax 400 120 was my main film in 2010 whn I lived in Lyons Colorado.
BH had 5packs at $17. I was pushing lots of it through Rolleis and Yashicamats.
Hope they sort it out. It's really nice film.

On some thread, I think, here, they have the numbers or dates of the bad rolls. I remember checking mine, but I don't remember the specifics.

Oh crap. I do have a huge stash of 2015 Tmax 400 120 and hope there is no bad news.
